music recording Software Discussions| I need help with computer music recording systems. | | I have just put together a home recording studio & are having problems with digital sample rates. I am also looking for information on "IRQ's". I have had a look at my bios & dont seem to be able to find the correct area to change the IRQ for certain items within my hard drive. | | Professional Musicians~Looking for Tips on Growing Your Business.... | | Hi, I'm a piano teacher, professional pianist and clarinet teacher. I'm interested in growing my business. I would like to find more students; but I also feel like I could really be doing more with my music. I play in church on Sundays. But I feel like I could be doing more. I play in nursing homes regularly and play for parties, funerals, weddings, community events once in a while.I hear about other people writing music, recording, etc. I spoke with a friend of a friend who did a recording (with that friend). He said he paid about $5,000 to record his music. That's a small investment when you think long term...but our funds are extremely limited, so it's a lot of money for us right now.I feel like there are different directions I could go in..... Just thought I'd see what thoughts you might have and what your experience has been. I can't go in a million directions, or I won't accomplish anything.I'd like to earn more money with my music, but I don't want this to be all about money. -Complete recording stations also USBgoing with analog line in is one of the most easy ways of recording music, you simple plug your guitar into amp, then go from the amp's headphone input to the line in input to your computer, and your set.a Midi interface is one of the best ways to record, from my experience, you simply plug your guitar into the usb midi interface and you can use it as a recording device.complete recording stations are a whole other level of recording, they are a station that allows you to compile your tracks without the assistance of software, I've personally never used a modern usb one, but have used one that used tapes, and i will admit, i was impressed.i would love to hear some other opinions on music recording.

I use my cell phone mainly for voice calling and some text messages. May be snapping a few pictures sometimes. Hmm... I think that's about all I use my cell phone for.
